Although this program is geared toward those in substance abuse treatment, other addictions and criminal offending, it is an excellent program for anyone at all. This is a cognitive behavioral program that uses drawing and creativity to tap into ones present status of life, looking into the past and projecting to the future. All areas of a person’s life is covered including: What is happening right now; what was happening one year ago, five year ago, ten years ago and twenty–depending on the individual’s age. Areas such as relationships, life interests, scheduling on a daily basis, best of times and worst of times, life goals for the future on a one year and ten year basis–are all covered. This program acts as a guide promoting individuals to address issues and goals in a most creative exciting way that helps provoke motivation toward realizing goals and setting out to accomplish them systematically based on past behavior and what could have been done instead. Cognitive behaviorial therapy specializes in thinking in new ways; thus, changing behavior.
